Pay and Benefits

Banner Engineering is committed to offering competitive pay and benefits. The base compensation for this position is estimated to range from $60,000.00 to $95,000.00. The amount will vary based upon your experience, education, and additional compensable factors related to your role.

Position Summary

In this role you’ll be an important link between our NPD (new product development) team and our supply chain by evaluating and selecting the suppliers for various manufactured mechanical parts. We’ll call on your strong project management skills to assemble data, identify problems and develop recommendations to support our supply chain staff and Operations management; you’ll also be involved with analytics for all our operations including manufacturing, quality, test and Applied Engineering. Your involvement will be with both domestic and international suppliers. This is based at our new facility located in the northeast quadrant of Highways 169 and 694 in Brooklyn Park.

This position reports to the Technical Sourcing Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinate new R&D projects with operations, as well as help identify problems and develop recommendations

  • Plan and coordinate with New Product Development teams on new parts and volumes that tie into the product launch forecast

  • Reduce procurement costs by implementing the proper ordering and delivery parameters, taking into consideration the following factors:

    • Part cost

    • Price breaks

    • Transaction costs

    • Freight cost

    • Duties and broker fees

  • Establish and maintain metrics to evaluate buyers and suppliers

Required

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or related field

  • Backgrounds in production planning concepts within ERP systems

  • Broad range of computer skills such as database, spreadsheet, statistics applications, and BI tools

  • Up to 15% travel, both domestic and international

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or related field

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience with Oracle, especially EBS

  • Working knowledge of injection molded plastics, plastic and aluminum extrusions, die castings, sheet metal, machining, finishing (painting, plating, etc.), and MIM
